Digital Radiography and Photography

The latest computerized digital x-rays and photos enable us to produce high quality images immediately so that we can use them for the purpose of discussing you or your child's treatment right at the very first visit. This technology is used to reduce some x-rays by up to 80 percent.

Sterilization

Dr. Badalamenti feels strongly about infection control. In our office, all instruments are autoclaved. Our system separates our instruments through the sterilization process. Instruments are self-contained all the way through the sterilization process, which consists of ultra-sonic cleaning to rid the instruments of any debris which might be adhering to the instruments. The cleaning is followed by a water rinse, and then into the autoclave for sterilization.
In place is a sterilization monitoring system, which is heat-sensitive tape to insure that the proper temperatures in the autoclave are reached every time and maintained for the appropriate amount of time to insure sterility.

Sterile Water System

We have also recently installed a self-contained sterile water delivery and filtration system. This insures the sterile quality of water used in treatment at the chair. This system uses distilled water, regular disinfection of all water lines with an antimicrobial agent, and a replaceable microfiltration disk at the water syringe and hand piece for state-of the-art cleanliness. No tap water is used for any dental procedure in this office. We would be proud to show you this system upon request.
